A mural dedicated to Leonard Kuryłowicz and Janina “Kaśka” Izdebska is taking shape at the Leonard Kuryłowicz Amphitheatre in Gubin. Jakub Bitka painted it on panels made from recycled drinks-bottle caps.

Plastic from everyday objects takes on a new role: a surface for a story about people who mattered to Gubin. ZERO WASTE meets local memory. This is not only about material — it is also about keeping the legacy of those who shaped the city’s culture present in its public spaces.
Leonard Kuryłowicz
Leonard Kuryłowicz initiated and became the first director of Gubin’s State Music School. The school’s history dates its foundation to 1975. His work is an important part of local music education. School history ↗
Janina „Kaśka” Izdebska
